Day Five - July 11th
We did have a spectacular day today but the 2000 miles has taken a toll so I will update day five tomorrow night. We took TONS of pictures today and so there will be few words. We did meet some more intriguing people but we will profile them tomorrow.
Tonight before bed I would like to say thank you to a person who I have failed to give much credit. That is my wife Cheryl. She went out of her way prior to my departure to make sure that I left town knowing that everything was all good in our hood. She took care of the banking, she entertained Tommy while I did the last minute packing and she even sent me away knowing I was going to be gone on our 16th wedding anniverary, which by the way is the 16th of this month. I will find out if I am still married when I get home. She also got the kids ready for camp and made sure I knew she was going to be fine. She even supported this trip despite the fact I was laid off from my job last month. For those that are finding out about my job on the internet, sorry.
I realized tonight that she had not got many kudos and I apologize for that. Things get crazy, and I got so wrapped up in this trip, that I forgot to acknowledge her contributions. So tonight I say Thank you Cheryl for all that you did to make this trip happen. I am having a great trip becuase of all your hard work.
THANK YOU!
