This Sums Up Our Day
Our day was mostly cold, wet and windy. Those are our rain-suits and we wore them for most of the day. If you don't wear those face masks the rain feels like needles if you are lucky, rocks if you're not. Days like today make us feel like we earned our mantality.

This is Wes he and he is from north of Anchorage. I think he said he was on his third day, but he are not sure. His landing point at the end of his day is where we had just filled up in Grande Cache.
Wes was traveling on a BWM to the BMW National Rally, located in the state of Oregon. We met him at.....a gas station while he was eating on the fly. He told us that the part of the road we would encounter tomorrow between Fort Nelson and Watson Lake was his favorite part of the road. He said that this part of road has lots of twists and turns and lots of critters to see. To fully enjoy this portion of the road we are going to leave later tomorrow morning as they are calling for rain....we'll take a pass on the rain.

Last Call
In Grand Prairie Alberta we stopped at the last Harley dealership until we get to Alaska. We had to pick up some paper funnels because we are going to change our oil when we get to Alaska. There we met Pat and she was not shy. She belongs to club of female riders called "Women in the Wind" I kidded her and said "Women Passing Wind" that is an odd name. They had recently started another chapter in Prince George Alberta. They also have locations throughout the states we well.
By the way this town is built on oil. Everywhere we went we saw oil pumping equipment and rigging equipment. Even the picture on the back of T-shirts of the Harley Shop shows an oil rig pumpin oil. By the way this town is the biggest we have seen since Minneapolis.

Slowin It Down
Well gas, lodging and countryside are gonna slow us down to 250-300 miles per day. Tomorrow because of the rain and the unavailability of lodging we can only do 220 miles. We also crossed into British Columbia and you can feel the landscape changing again. We are loving the scenery and people.
Where In The World
As a point of reference we are about 2400 miles from home and we are officially on the Alaska Highway. At Dawson Creek we were at Mile Zero of the Alaska Highway and are about 1300 miles from Tok Alaska and 1500 miles from Fairbanks Alaska. Zoom out to get the bigger picture.
